Insights- Chikankari is a traditional hand embroidery style from Lucknow. It is one of the oldest and finest surface ornamentation style, famous for its delicacy and intricacy which adds an elegant touch to any garment.
It mainly has 32 stitches such as Phanda, Jaali, Hool, Bakhiya, Tepchi etc. Hand embroidered on fine fabrics like muslin, Georgette, Silk, chiffon, Chanderi etc. It’s unique selling point is it’s versatility, which makes it suitable for both casual and formal wear.
